Lamy Z24 and Z28 converters
Last year Lamy have rather silently updated their fountain pen converters model numbers. Converter Z24 (red one, for Safari, Al-Star, etc.) has become Z28, and the model Z26 (black one, for Studio, Linea, etc.) has become Z27. Is there a difference?
Well, yes and no.
Z26/Z27, at the first glance, hasn’t changed at all. The change in model number most likely motivated by the change in manufacturing process and/or materials used, but it is impossible to tell for sure.
The difference between Z24 and Z28 is far more obvious, though. The part that connects piston handle and the body of the converter is now made of metal (aluminum, probably) instead of black plastic.
Do you need to upgrade? No, not at all. New converters work exactly the same. But the new Z28 will indeed look better in Lamy Vista.

85 countries in 2017
85! This is the number of unique countries we have shipped our products to. This is exactly 44.27% of all 192 countries—members of the Universal Postal Union. We are aiming to climb over 50% in 2018.
The most orders came from the residents of USA, Israel, Canada, Norway, and Australia. In Europe, besides already mentioned Norway, the most active were the people from UK, Western Balkans, the Baltics, our neighbors Greece and Romania, and Russia.
The most exotic countries in our list, with only one order from each, were Vietnam and Ecuador. If you are reading this post, you know who you are, thank you very much! We would love to see you among our customers again.
Shipping delays this holiday season
We are glad to inform you, our dear customers, that the snowfalls hit Sofia and entire northwest of the country yesterday did not affected our shipping times. We ship all orders on time, and all international packages leave Bulgaria in a timely manner.
However, with the coming holiday season we would ask you to factor shipping delays into your estimated delivery time.
Starting the middle of December and till the first days of the next year intercontinental shipping time should be expected to be at least a week or even two weeks longer. For the destinations within Europe delays most probably will be less dramatic, but longer transit should be expected as well.
Long Easter weekend
On April 16th this year Bulgarian Orthodox church celebrates Easter. It is not only religious, but also a big family holiday in Bulgaria. May be, even bigger one than Christmas. On the long Easter weekend Bulgarians are visiting their families and gather at the holiday table.
Friday April 14th, Saturday 15th, Sunday 16th, and Monday 17th are official holidays in the Republic of Bulgaria. Central Postal Station will be closed on these days, but we will accept and pack all orders. All orders will be dispatched first thing in the morning on Tuesday 18th.
